The article provides insight into the historical phenomenon of performed „radio broadcasts” conducted by female prisoners Nazi concentration camp at Majdanek, Poland. Every day over a period few months, women played role radio announcers and recreated from memory communication formulas Polish Radio broadcasts. associated pre-war with strong message cultural heritage humanist values. re-enactment listening broadcasts evoked positive emotions stirred imagination women. „radio” united them gave strength to survive reality camp, promoted adherence norms, brought back works poets writers, provided entertainment. became ritual ordering mental universe women, which meaning everyday, sense continuity time that confirmed women’s identities, their dignity belonging community. structure aesthetics an electronic broadcast tool construct preserve own culture in death camp.
